The successfulness of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) as a tool for taking snapshot the production flow efficiency is well established. development large-scale visual map processes and their interactions beneficial problem analysis subsequent solution. Through VSM, managers gain deeper understanding organization carried out in coordination with people system approach. A case study was conducted at Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Pakistan which manufactures ceiling fan winding machines. aim this to explore possibilities shortening lead-time, waste highlight important strategies, steps could be undertaken by management improvement productivity, cost quality. maps systematically through use VSM. Lean Implementation Techniques (LIT) were followed identification value stream process, lean metrics, mapping current state proposing an improved future map. intervention suggested layout modification reducing 7 stations 6 streamlining operations. results lower defects, controlling overproduction, managing inventory buffers from linear approach optimized level. This also resulted reduction processing time each unit around 19 % lead 100 units 21%. VSM proposes enforcing pull system, supplier relations, modifying processes, Just Time (JIT) delivery materials parts, scheduling transport resources efficiently buffers.
